What Is Grind & Seal Concrete?
Grind and seal is a polished concrete floor system that removes the surface layer of the concrete with diamond tooling, exposing the natural aggregate and creating a smooth, slightly reflective surface. That surface is then sealed with a clear high-performance polyaspartic or epoxy topcoat that locks in the look and provides protection. Unlike full mechanical polishing (which uses progressively finer diamond grits to create a true mirror finish), grind and seal stops at a medium grit and relies on the topcoat for the final sheen and protection. The result is a floor that looks like polished concrete at a fraction of the cost and time, with significantly better stain and chemical resistance.
