In its raw form it is high-gloss and can be slippery when wet. We add a fine anti-slip aggregate to the polyaspartic topcoat to provide traction without diminishing the visual effect.

What Is Metallic Epoxy Flooring?

Metallic epoxy is a designer coating system that uses 100% solids epoxy infused with metallic mica pigments. As the resin self-levels, the pigments react with each other and with applied solvents to create dramatic swirls, marbling, and 3D depth that resembles liquid metal, lava, or weathered copper. Every metallic floor is one of a kind. The pattern that forms during installation cannot be exactly reproduced — even a second pour with the same colors and technique will look slightly different. This is part of what makes metallic floors so coveted for high-end residential garages, showrooms, restaurants, and retail spaces. The system is finished with two coats of high-gloss polyaspartic that lock in the metallic effect and provide UV stability and chemical resistance.

Where Metallic Epoxy Works Best

Metallic epoxy is the ultimate statement floor. It excels in spaces where the floor is meant to be part of the design, not just a surface — premium custom garages, auto showrooms, restaurants and bars, retail spaces, basement entertainment rooms, executive offices, and luxury home gyms. It is not the ideal choice for spaces with significant pre-existing concrete cracking, since the high-gloss finish can subtly emphasize lines. For those floors, our flake system is a better fit.
